Sealed proposals will be received by the Township of New Sewickley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania at the Township office located at 233 Miller Road, New Sewickley Township, Pennsylvania 15074 until 11:00 AM prevailing time on July 30, 2020, for:

NEW SEWICKLEY TOWNSHIP PUBLIC WORKS GARAGE
The scope of work includes construction of a 100′ x 70′ x 18′ pre-engineered weather tight pole building within New Sewickley Municipal Complex. Contractor is responsible for preparing final construction drawings prepared by a Professional Engineer in order to obtain Building Permit. There are two additional bid options for a pre-engineered metal framed building and CMU block building.
A General Bidders meeting will be held at the Township Municipal Building on July 22, 2020 at 10:00 AM.
All work shall be constructed according to drawings and specifications which are on file at the office of the Owner and Lennon, Smith, Souleret Engineering, Inc.; 846 Fourth Avenue; Coraopolis, Pennsylvania 15108-1522. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud approximately at 11:00 AM on July 30, 2020, at the Township office.
Bid Documents are being distributed by F. L. Haus Company, 921 Ridge Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15212. All bidders are required to buy the full set of specifications for a non-fundable deposit of $75.00 from F. L. Haus Company at www.flhausplanroom.com. Pennsylvania prevailing wage rates apply. Proposals must be upon the forms furnished by the Township. The bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the Township of New Sewickley to guarantee the bidder’s entrance into the contract if given the award. No bid bond shall be waived or returned because the Bidder has failed to or cannot comply with any requirements as set forth in the plans, specifications, or any applicable statutes of the State of Pennsylvania or any applicable municipal ordinances.
The Township reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid may be withdrawn for ninety (90) calendar days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids.
Attention is directed to the fact that procurement is subject to all requirements of the Pennsylvania “Steel Products Procurement Act, Act No. 1978-3”; and for Contract value exceeding $25,000, the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act (Act of 1961 P.L. 987), and The Public Works Employment Verification Act (July 2012) apply.
The Township shall (a) award the construction contract to the lowest responsible bidder(s) therefore, or (b) reject all bids received within ninety (90) days of the date of bid opening; provided, however, that the Township may, in its sole discretion, delay such award or rejection for up to one hundred twenty (120) days from the bid opening date until the Township has received all required approvals from other governmental agencies. The successful bidder(s) shall furnish a bond guaranteeing performance of the contract in an amount of 100 percent of the contract price within ten (10) days after the contract is awarded.
Bidders on this work will be required to comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
